Public Works Laborer II
The City of Wellsville is taking applications for the position of Public Works Laborer II.
ICON Valley Subdivision
ICON Valley is the latest subdivision being developed in Wellsville. ICON Valley will provide residential housing 4- plex and duplex construction. There is a Community park and several commercial projects at the planning stage at this time.
Sixth street will be the access street to the new Police Station and the new Franklin County Ambulance Station which construction will start construction in July.

There is a dumpster at the City lot for branches and yard waste only.

NOTICE: NO PLASTIC BAGS WITH RECYCLABLES
Attn: Ottawa Sanitation has informed us that recycling CANNOT be in Wal-Mart bags or trash bags per the recycling company due to the fact that their machine cannot process them. We were informed the recycling company may stop our recycling service if this keeps happening. This includes the recycling bin at the Public Works Department. Please dump all recycling from the bags into the container and keep the bags. DO NOT put the bags in the container. Thank you for your help with this matter!
NOTICE: DO NOT FLUSH WIPES
You may have seen all the ads on TV lately for “flush able” wipes. Well, it turns out that isn’t exactly the right word to use. That’s because, like a lot of other items would, they’ll flush but they don’t ever dissolve. The Public Works Department says these wipes don’t break down in water, so their treatment plant has to use equipment to pull plastic, wipes (even flush able) rubber gloves, rags, or paper towels out because our sewer system is not designed to handle these items, sometimes their equipment gets clogged or broken by all the wipes and other trash.
Please make sure to set your trash out by 6:00 A.M. on your trash day’s to ensure pickup.
